Flake-ice storage: good quality storage= less to store.
Scherfijs-opslag: goed te bewaren= minder bewaren.
Author(s) : STEEN N.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Problems encountered in ice storage are related to the duration of storage or to the quality of the ice stored. However, where recently manufactured, dry, high-quality flake ice is used, no problems arise. The article recommends that when a plant is being designed, true storage needs should be calculated: this avoids storage of overly large quantities and enables suitable construction materials to be selected.
