Fluidised bed ice slurry generator: operating range.

Summary

The mixture to be transformed into slurry is pumped through a vertical shell and a tube heat exchanger in the tubes off which a fluidised bed is created, with steel particles for instance. According to the speed of flow and temperature between the pipe walls and mixture, ice crystals grow along the wall and are released in the flow, due to the action of the fluidised bed steel particles. A separation chamber is then installed and separates steel particles from ice crystals, which are then stored in a storage tank.
