Flux pinning and critical currents in superconducting thallium cuprates.

Summary

The irreversibility lines are measured between 0 and 1 T in terms of anisotropy and oxygen stoichiometry. The theoretical results are consistent with model and provide guidance for materials selection and optimum doping. The manufacture of silver-clad tapes is described. Zero field transport critical currents in excess of 10 000 A/cm2 are obtained but with strong field dependence of critical-current density.
