Summary

THE INTERACTION BETWEEN MAGNETIC FLUX NONLINEAR SOLITARY WAVES (FLUXONS) IN A LONG JOSEPHSON JUNCTION IS CONSIDERED WITH ACCOUNT OF DISSIPATIVE PROCESSES AND THE BIAS CURRENT. THE SYSTEM IS DESCRIBED BY THE PERTURBED SINE-GORDON EQUATION. PERTURBATION THEORY CALCULATIONS SHOW THAT WEAK DISSIPATION AND WEAK BIAS CURRENT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECT THE DYNAMICS OF A FLUXON SYSTEM AND LEAD TO THE FORMATION OF SOLITON COMPLEXES MOVING AS A UNIT WITH PRACTICALLY CONSTANT DISTANCES BETWEEN THE SOLITONS (FREEZING OF FLUXONS). THE ASYMPTOTIC RESULTS OBTAINED BY THE PERTURBATION THEORY CALCULATIONS ARE CONFIRMED BY NUMERICAL EXPERIMENTS.
