Type of article: Article
Summary
Freezing of an aqueous sodium chloride solution saturating a packed bed of glass spheres was investigated experimentally. Experiments were conducted on the hypoeutectic side, and the cold wall temperature was lower than the eutectic point. Spherical soda-lime glass beads 2.85 and 6 millimeters in average diameter were investigated.
