Summary
Regulation concerning foodstuffs treated with ionizing radiation is now in full evolution with the immediate publication of European Parliament and Council directives. This text will change the French regulation. The positive list principle for foodstuffs authorized to be treated with ionizing radiation has been adopted by the Commission. This list will be published in the form of an implementing directive. The general provisions will be provided in a directive framework, especially the use conditions and labelling rules.
