Further analysis of the relation air-product temperature on temperature distribution experiments with reefer containers.

Author(s) : MEFFERT H. F. T.

Summary

Further evidence for the satisfactory modelling of cargo temperature distribution in refrigerated holds was gathered from new experiments. However, due to practical restrictions of full scale work, the results do not contribute much to the explanation of the Weibull parameters in terms of operational factors. For the characterization of the influence of container type and stowage pattern, the quotation of verifiable operational parameters, dimensions of loading space and cargo units, air passages and circulation, pressure differences, is necessary. A series of computer assisted dedicated experiments is necessary for further exploration.
