Temperature conditions in refrigerated vehicles and containers. 2. Cargo temperature distribution.

Author(s) : MEFFERT H. F. T.

Summary

A new analysis of published experimental results about the distribution of temperatures in refrigerated containers shows the validity of the Weibull statistical model for system insulation, chilling, cargo and operation. Two parameters govern this model: the scale parameter and the shape parameter. The temperature difference between delivery and return air is measurable and permits standardization of transport and storage conditions.
