Heat and mass transfer in the boiling of ammonia-water solution.

Summary
Steady state modelling and simulation of a boiler with ammonia-water solution as working pair are presented. The boiler is a heat exchanger with horizontal pipes. The solution is distributed as a film over the outer surface of the pipes. The heating agent flows inside the pipes. A detailed modelling procedure of the boiler is given as an example. The simulation results are presented and discussed. Experimental measurements confirmed the simulation results.
