The aim of this 3-volume handbook is to be the source of information and guidance on the thermal and mechanical design of heat exchangers and on the associated heat transfer phenomena and physical property data. Over 1,500 new pages have been added since the previous edition published in 1990. The 3-volume handbook consists of five parts (see references 99-0631, 99-0632, and 99-0633, for a complete description of each volume): 1. Heat exchanger theory. 2. Fluid mechanics and heat transfer. 3. Thermal and hydraulic design of heat exchangers. 4. Mechanical design of heat exchangers. 5. Physical properties.
