HEAT-PUMP AIR CONDITIONING FOR MUSHROOM GROWING.

Author(s) : DEAN C.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE CULTIVATION OF MUSHROOMS REQUIRES A STEADY TEMPERATURE OF 289 OR 298 K (16 OR 25 DEG C) DURING DIFFERENT STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT, WHILE MAINTAINING A HIGH HUMIDITY AND CO2 CONCENTRATION. THIS MEANS THAT OUTSIDE AIR CANNOT BE USED FOR COOLING. THE APPLICATION IS IDEAL FOR A REVERSE CYCLE HEAT PUMP, WHICH CAN HEAT OR COOL AS MAY BE REQUIRED. A.R.T.
