Summary

A COMBINATION DESUPERHEATER HEAT RECOVERY UNIT AND A SPECIALIZED WATER-TO-WATER HEAT PUMP WERE INSTALLED IN A 130 HEAD DAIRY TO HEAT PROCESS WATER. AS OPERATED, THE SYSTEM EFFECTED A 53% SAVINGS IN WATER HEATING ENERGY CONSUMPTION AS COMPARED TO ELECTRIC WATER HEATERS.
