Heat transfer and other characteristics of low temperature liquid secondary refrigerants.

Author(s) : MELINDER Å.

Summary

A publication entitled "Thermophysical properties of liquid secondary refrigerants" is published during 1997 in English/French by the IIR. The publication contains charts and tables with thermophysical properties of some salts and other aqueous solutions as well as some non-aqueous heat transfer liquids. The paper presents a comparison for freezer applications of these liquid secondary refrigerants as well as aqueous solutions of potassium formate and litium chloride, two salts that have promising thermophysical properties. Concentrations that give the freezing point temperature -40 deg C are chosen for all the aqueous solutions examined.
