Two-phase coolants.

Les fluides frigoporteurs diphasiques.

Author(s) : LALLEMAND A.

Summary

The author first reviews general characteristics of coolants, then focuses on two-phase mixtures for which the change of phase temperature can be controlled. These are water-ice-alcohol mixtures. The thermophysical properties of these mixtures, with various concentrations of ethanol and at various temperatures, are given, as are heat transfer results. Finally, thermal storage problems are discussed.
