Summary

An experimental study was conducted on the effect of wire-and-tube geometry on condenser performance. The experimental results are given. Heat transfer performance increased by 15% at 4 deg C. A correlation is first presented to predict the heat transfer capability from wire-and-tube condensers to air. It is believed that the above-mentioned correlation can be used to design this kind of condenser.
