THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF A MICROSPHERE BED WAS MEASURED AT THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WITH DIFFERENT GASES IN THE MICROSPHERES, AT DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES UNDER VACUUM AND IN AIR. THE TEST VALUES ARE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH KAGANER'S MODEL RECENTLY USED BY CUNNINGTON AND TIEN.
