Each of the two sections of this book (condensation and boiling) begins with a description of the basic physical phenomena, models and theories. Heat transfer problems are then discussed for a wide range of applications. The book provides an overview of the state of the art and points out possible improvements and open questions. The subjects are treated at a level appropriate for graduate courses. Chapters concern notably the film and drop condensation of stagnant vapors, the condensation of vapors of miscible and immiscible liquids, the enhancement of heat transfer during condensation, the different heat transfers, the enhancement of heat transfer during boiling, etc.
