Heat transfer in supercritical carbon dioxide with convective boundary conditions.

Author(s) : OLSON D.

Summary

Refrigeration cycles using carbon dioxide will be operated above the thermodynamic critical point during heat rejection. The author reports measurements of heat transfer coefficients of supercritical turbulent carbon dioxide flowing in a horizontal tube heated by the counterflow of hot water. A wide range of parameters was studied.
