Heat transfer laws for the cooling of a thermodependent non newtonian fluid.

Lois d'échange lors du refroidissement d'un fluide non newtonien thermodépendant.

Summary

This work studies experimentally and numerically the laws of flowing and heat transfer for laminar flow, non-newtonian, thermodependent fluids in a heat-flow-density- and temperature-varying cylindric pipe. The author looks at the pseudoplastic fluids, the behavior of which can be modified by Ostwald's power law. The influence of an imposed thermal field over speed distribution and consequent heat transfer laws is examined. He proposes a correlation that takes thermodependence into account, as well as a computation model to calculate the ice layer thickness in regions where the freezing happens.
