Heat transfer of R22 and alternatives in a plate-type evaporator.

Summary
A falling water film is the heat source. Alternatives investigated were R134a and two new refrigerant mixtures. Measurements on a 3 x 0.5 m plate showed a superior performance of R134a compared to R22 and mixtures at equal test conditions and a distinct difference between mixtures and pure fluids at very low water temperatures.
