Summary
Multi-tube exchangers, consisting of nine bare (7 m length) or corrugated (5 m length) tubes placed inside a tube envelope. The water circulates outside the counterflow bundle of tubes, with R22 circulating inside the tubes. The enhancement due to corrugated tubes is noticeable, as their exchanging surface is 76% of that of the bare tubes. More important pressures losses remain less than 0.5 bar for operating conditions with water. The pressure losses on R22 are on average 0.2 bar inside bare tubes, and 0.35 bar for corrugated tubes. A model is set up.
