EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON THE HEAT TRANSFER PERFORMANCE OF AN ABSORBER FOR A WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE ARE PRESENTED IN THIS PAPER. THE OVERALL COEFFICIENT OF HEAT TRANSFER OF AN ABSORBER HAS A MAXIMUM VALUE. HEAT TRANSFER RATE OF THE ABSORBER IS INCREASED 60% BY USING THE OUTER GROOVED TUBE AS COMPARED WITH THE PLANE SURFACE TUBE.
