HEAT TRANSFER SPECIAL FEATURES IN A POOL OF SUPERFLUID HELIUM.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT AN APPROACH TO THERMAL COUNTERFLOW REGIMES IN LARGE VOLUMES OF HELIUM II ON CYLINDRICAL SAMPLES. THE METHOD IS BASED ON THE FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP OF THERMAL FLOW AT THE INTERFACE OF FILM BOILING WITH HELIUM II CHARACTERISTICS. THIS RELATIONSHIP ENABLES ONE TO CALCULATE THAT OF THE TEMPERATURE GRADIENT IN HELIUM II THERMAL FLOW. THE DISCUSSION OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED MADE IT POSSIBLE TO DETECT, UNDER TEST CONDITIONS, THE EXISTENCE OF 3 THERMAL COUNTERFLOW REGIMES, SIMILAR TO THOSE ALREADY KNOWN. SOME PARAMETERS CHARACTERIZING THESE THERMAL COUNTERFLOW REGIMES WERE OBTAINED EXPERIMENTALLY. THESE RESULTS ARE CORROBORATED THEORETICALLY.
