SOME RESULTS ON NOISELESS FILM BOILING IN SUPERFLUID HELIUM WITH FLAT HEATER GEOMETRIES.

Author(s) : MAZA J.

Summary

THE AUTHORS GIVE SOME RESULTS OF HEAT TRANSFER IN SUPERFLUID HELIUM IN THE DOMAIN OF HEAT FLOW DENSITIES SUFFICIENT FOR INDUCING LOCAL EVAPORATION OF THE LIQUID. THE SCENARIO STUDIED CONCERNS THE STEADY BOILING (NOISELESS) OF THE FLUID. SEVERAL ASPECTS OF THIS SITUATION ARE BRIEFLY STUDIED. THE AUTHORS DISCUSS LABUNTZOV ET AL'S KINETIC THEORY. THE EVAPORATION PROCESSES IN SUPERFLUID HELIUM ARE APPLIED TO OTHER MODELS BASED ON KINETIC THEORIES. SOME TEST RESULTS WHICH ARE COMPARED TO THEORETICAL MODELS ARE GIVEN.
