Summary

THE PAPER REVIEWS THE LUBRICANTS FOR A SCREW COMPRESSION TYPE HEAT PUMP OPERATING AT CONDENSING TEMPERATURES OF 373 K (100 DEG C) OR ABOVE USING R114. TO INVESTIGATE THE HEAT STABILITY OF OIL, NAPHTHENIC MINERAL OIL AND POLYALPHA-OLEFIN FAMILY SYNTHETIC HYDROCARBON OIL WERE TESTED IN A SEALED TUBE IN THE PRESENCE OF R114 AND R11. R114 AND THE SYNTHETIC HYDROCARBON OIL WERE JUDGED TO BE THE COMBINATION WITH THE GREATER HEAT STABILITY. THE AUTHORS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT HEAT PUMP OPERATION AT OPERATING TEMPERATURE OF 373 K IS FEASIBLE.
