High-temperature superconductors subsystem analysis.
Author(s) : PHILLIPS W. A.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The paper describes studies of three superconducting subsystems: a satellite repeater, MRI body coils, and an 11-gigahertz downconverter. The first two are paper studies, intended to indicate the potential and problems in two commonly identified applications. The downconverter successfully demonstrated the integration of semiconductor, superconductor, and cooler technologies, and also indicates areas of potential applications.
