Summary
Household refrigerators are not designed to preserve vaccines. Yet, they are used for that in developing countries. An inexpensive kit has been developed to upgrade such refrigerators. This booklet includes a description of the conversion kit and of its operating principle, along with an assessment of tests done with various household refrigerators that were converted. Extract from the table of contents: goals, design, operating principle, refrigerator interior.
