Summary

A GREAT MANY OF THE FRENCH FRUIT PACKING STATIONS WERE BUILT ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO BUT THEIR GENERAL DESIGN IS STILL AVAILABLE. TECHNICAL AND ECONOMICAL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS HAVE CHANGED ; ONE HAS NOW TO CHOOSE BETWEEN RENOVATION OR COMPLETE REBUILDING OF THE STATION. THE VARIOUS FORMS OF RENOVATION ARE SURVEYED. ONE CONCLUDES WITH PROPOSING A SCHEME TO COME TO A DECISION, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE TECHNICAL FEATURES OF THE EXISTING STATION.
