HUMIDITY: MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL DURING THE STORAGE AND TRANSPORT OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.

Author(s) : SHARP A. K.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE HUMIDITY IS SOMETIMES TOO LOW, BUT IS SO DIFFICULT TO MEASURE AND CONTROL THAT, IN MOST CASES, PERMANENT HUMIDITY MONITORING OR CONTROL INSTRUMENTATION IS NOT RECOMMENDED. INSTEAD, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT HUMIDITY SHOULD BE CHECKED FROM TIME TO TIME, USING PORTABLE EQUIPMENT, AND IF IT IS PERSISTENTLY TOO LOW THE COOLING SYSTEM SHOULD BE MODIFIED.
