THE ARTICLE CONCERNS WATER LOSSES, THEIR ORIGIN AND THEIR EFFECTS AND, MORE PARTICULARLY, THE EFFECT OF ORGANIC DEHYDRATION ON THE THERMOPHYSIOLOGICAL, CARDIOVASCULAR AND ENDOCRINAL FUNCTION OF THE HUMAN BODY. BY EXCLUDING ANY OTHER TYPE OF NUTRITIONAL ASPECT, REHYDRATION BY MOUTH IS EXAMINED AS WELL AS ITS EFFICIENCY AS A FUNCTION OF THE TYPE OF BEVERAGE INGESTED. RECOMMENDATIONS ADDRESSED TO WORKERS AND TO ADVISERS ARE MADE, BASED ON EXPERIENCE PUBLISHED IN SPECIALISED LITERATURE OR ACQUIRED FROM SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS.
