Summary
Hydrocarbon refrigerants are becoming widely used in the domestic and commercial sectors of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. They are now being applied and handled by engineers and technicians throughout the world who are not used to using flammable refrigerants. The aim of any training should be to ensure that hydrocarbon refrigerants are applied and handled safely, and that systems operate reliably and perform well. As an example, such training has been carried out in the United Kingdom now for nearly 2 years.
