Hydrogen cold and ultracold neutron sources on the WWR-M reactor, Gatchina.

Summary

Having started with a simple cold beryllium ultracold neutron converter, the authors went on to use the most efficient moderators such as liquid hydrogen and deuterium, and recently solid deuterium. Some new approaches were developed in designing cold sources and resulted in the medium power reactor becoming competitive with high flux reactors.
