THE FOUR COMPANIES WHICH OPERATE WITHIN THE IBRU ORGANISATION ARE DESCRIBED AND THE ACTIVITIES OF EACH ARE DETAILED. THE FISHING VESSELS VARY FROM PURSE SEINERS TO DISTANT WATER FREEZER TRAWLERS PURCHASED FROM A NETHERLANDS BASED COMPANY. SHRIMP, PELAGIC FISH IN PARTICULAR HERRING AND SARDINELLA ARE AMONGST THE RANGE OF FISH CAUGHT IN VARIOUS TYPES OF VESSEL, SHRIMP ALSO BEING ONE OF THE MAJOR EXPORTS. A COLD STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM COMPLEMENTS THE FISHING ACTIVITIES AND MORE RECENTLY THE COMPANY HAS MOVED INTO AQUACULTURE. IMPORTEDFISH MOSTLY COMES FROM THE NETHERLANDS AND IS EXPENSIVE ; EXPORTS, NOTABLY SHRIMPS HAVE GOOD PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE. G.R.S.
