Summary

THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE INVESTIGATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL DESORBER FOR AN ABSORPTION REFRIGERATOR RUNNING ON AN AMMONIA-WATER SOLUTION. THE DESORBER IS COMBINED IN ONE UNIT WITH COMBUSTION-GAS-HEATED CYCLONE-STEAM GENERATOR WITH 5,000 WATTS OF NOMINAL HEATING POWER, AND IS BUILT IN A REAL HEATING-COOLING ABSORPTION SYSTEM. ALSO DESCRIBED ARE OPERATION, MOTIVATION OF CONSTRUCTION CHOICE, COMPUTATIONAL ASSUMPTIONS, INVESTIGATION STANDPOINT AND RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH. THE USE OF SUCH DESORBER CONSTRUCTION FOR HEAT RECOVERY AND DRIVING OF AN ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING PLANT IS POSSIBLE AND ADVISABLE, FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF BOTH OPERATIONAL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION, AND OF GOOD THERMAL EFFECTS OF DESORPTION PROCESS.
