Impact of refrigerant flowing resistance on adsorption refrigeration cycle.

Author(s) : WANG W., WANG R.

Summary

The impact of gaseous refrigerant flowing resistance on adsorption refrigeration cycle is numerically analysed with a recently developed mathematical model. The resistances considered in the paper are produced from two pipe lines, from adsorber to condenser and from adsorber to evaporator respectively. It makes the adsorption and desorption pressures in adsorber different from the pressures of evaporator and condenser respectively as in theoretical cycles. In continuous adsorption refrigeration cycle, it properly result in considerably reducing the cycle performance. According to simulation result, the flowing resistance from adsorber to evaporator should be taken into account of even more, which is the main factor affecting the cycle performance. The analysis method and result in the paper are helpful to analysis and optimum design an adsorption refrigeration cycle.
