Improvements on efficiency and reliability of CO2 TC systems.

Number: 0013

Author(s) : RIVET P.

Summary

CO2 TC is developing very much since 2015 in countries where ambient temperature during hot period is between +30 to +45°C. In Northern countries, summer conditions drive to discharge pressure around 80 to 90 bar , far away from max working pressure of the systems (generally 120 bar, now 130). On the same time, performance of standard CO2 TC systems is quite acceptable.
In hoter countries or due to the increase of summer temperature thanks to warming climate increase, performance of systems decrease quickly. With higher pressure, reliability of the systems become a question. The aim of this paper is to give some solutions to improve performances and reliability with simple options.
