THE RESULTS OF INDUSTRIAL TESTS ON THE AIR COOLER IN A FREEZER FOR MEAT CARCASES ARE GIVEN. THE CHANGE IN THERMAL, AERODYNAMIC AND ENERGETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FREEZING UNIT DURING THE FROSTING PROCESS IS SHOWN. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE AIR COOLER UNDER DEHUMIDIFICATION CONDITIONS AND FREEZING TEMPERATURES.
