Summary

A MATHEMATICAL MODEL WAS DEVELOPED FOR THE VOG-250 COOLER, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE PECULIARITIES OF ITS OPERATION IN A SINGLE-PHASE FREEZING ROOM FOR MEAT. AN ELECTRONIC CALCULATION IS MADE OF THE HEAT TRANSFER AND AERODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AIR COOLER FROM THE MOMENT WHEN FROST FORMS. RELATIONSHIPS WERE OBTAINED BETWEEN THE OVERALL HEAT EXCHANGE COEFFICIENT OF THE AIR COOLER AND QUANTITY OF FROST, THE RPM OF THE FAN, AMMONIA FLOW RATE AND EVAPORATION TEMPERATURE. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR SELECTING MODIFICATIONS TO THE VOG-250 COOLER FOR THE MEAT FREEZER ROOM AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE AIR COOLER.
