Summary
REFRIGERATING INSTALLATIONS NEED TO BE DEFROSTED REGULARLY. SINCE THERE IS NO MODEL FOR A DEFROSTING CYCLE AND AS IT IS DIFFICULT TO ESTIMATE, THE AUTHOR HAS CONSTRUCTED A MODEL. TESTS HAVE SHOWN LARGE VARIATIONS IN THE THERMAL EFFICIENCY WITH DIFFERENT DEFROSTING SYSTEMS. THE MODEL OF THE PROPOSED WORKING CYCLE IS CLOSE TO THE ACTUAL OPERATING CONDITIONS OF REFRIGERATING INSTALLATIONS AND IT ALSO INDICATES POSSIBILITIES OF IMPROVING THE DEFROSTING PROCESS.
