INFLUENCE OF DOORWAY GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS PROTECTED BY AIR CURTAIN ON DECREASE OF BUILDING HEAT LOSSES.

Summary

THE INFLUENCE OFDOORWAY GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS ON THE COEFFICIENT OF AIR FLOW AND EFFICIENCY PROTECTION BY AIR CURTAIN AGAINST EXCESSIVE HEAT LOSSES WAS INVESTIGATED. IT WAS PROVED THAT FOR THE UPPER AIR INTAKE IT IS NECESSARY TO APPLY A CURTAIN WITH SIDEAIR INTAKE STREAM SCREENS, BUT FOR THE DOWN ONE, THE TUNNEL DEVELOPMENT OF THE DOORWAY. THE OPTIMUM VALUES OF GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS WERE DETERMINED. THE NEGLECT OF THE ROLE OF DOORWAY GEOMETRY IN DESIGN AND REALIZATION RUNS INFALLIBLY TO THE DECREASE OF CURTAIN EFFICIENCY EVEN TO VALUES SMALLER THAN NULL.
