Inhibition of biotransformation of xenobiotic p-nitroanisole after cryopreservation of isolated rat hepatocytes.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Decrease of rat hepatocyte metabolism after cryopreservation was investigated. The presence of cryoprotectants allows significant but reduced preservation of studied xenobiotic p-nitroanisole metabolism. The data indicate that this decrease results from the loss of pyridine nucleotide due to the damage of plasma membrane.
