Innovative Stirling engines for small-scale CHP.
Author(s) : HISLOP D. W., KINNERSLY R. F.
Summary
The Stirling engine's potentially high power efficiency, low maintenance costs, and low noise and other emissions make it an ideal prime mover for small scale CHP. The paper summarises the reasons why the Stirling is not yet available, and outlines the innovative design approach undertaken by Sustainable Engines Systems Ltd (SES) in its commercialisation of the engine.
