Summary
THE RESULTS OF A TEST STUDY OF AMMONIA VAPOUR CONDENSATION ON INDIVIDUAL HORIZONTAL SMOOTH TUBES AND WIRE-FINNED TUBES AND ON BUNDLE OF THESE TUBES ARE GIVEN. BASING ON THE DISCUSSION OF THE DATA OBTAINED, THE AUTHORS OBSERVED THAT THE USE OF WIRE-FINES INTENSIFIES THE SURFACE HEAT TRANSFER PROCESS IN THE CONDENSATION OF AMMONIA VAPOURS, EG 1.6 TO 2 TIMES COMPARED TO HEAT TRANSFER ON A SMOOTH TUBE UNDER THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF BOTH AN INDIVIDUAL TUBE AND A BUNDLE OF TUBES.
