Summary

IT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED THAT COMPARED WITH POOL BOILING, HEAT FLUX AND PRESSURE EFFECTS ARE SOMEWHAT LESS PRONOUNCED AND THE BOILING CURVE HYSTERESIS PHENOMENON IS MISSING. THE TRANSITION FROM THE SUBCOOLED BOILING REGION TO SATURATED BOILING IS SHOWN NOT TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CHANGE OF HEAT TRANSFER INTENSITY. EXPERIMENTAL DATA ARE CORRELATED BY AN EQUATION.
