THE AUTHORS GIVE THE RESULTS OF AN INVESTIGATION INTO A UNIT OPERATING AS A HEAT PUMP. THE BASIC PARAMETERS ARE AS FOLLOWS: REFRIGERANT: R12, NOMINAL REFRIGERATING CAPACITY: 720 W, COOLING CAPACITY OF MILK: 180 L PER 24 HRS ; CONDENSER WITH 8 M LONG COUNTERFLOW COPPER COILS. IN 24 HRS 150 L WATER AT 323 K (50 DEG C) CAN BE OBTAINED WITH A CAPACITY OF THE CONDENSER OF 1,200 W AND A THERMAL EFFICIENCY OF 3.0. ENERGY SAVING IS 1,224 KG FUEL PER YEAR.
