Summary

The book contains the 53 papers (mostly in Italian, with six in English and two in French) of the biennal European Seminar, held in Milan, Italy, June 18-19, 1999, organized with the participation of the IIR. It includes five sessions: new refrigerants, results and perspectives; new components, equipment and refrigerants: experimental results; new technologies in Europe and in the world; heat pumps and heat exchange; new control technologies; new technologies in food refrigeration and in transport. A 28-page participants' list is included. Some of the papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
