Summary
Most refrigerants have high vapour pressure, and some of them are flammable and/or toxic. Therefore, those refrigerants are classified as dangerous goods, namely high-pressure gases. For the prevention of accidents and disasters, the handling and transport of dangerous goods must conform to laws and regulations. This report gives an outline of the laws and regulations for exportation and importation of refrigerants, especially fluorinated refrigerants.
