About fifteen office equipment manufacturers launched into developing lower energy-wasting products, that is giving off less heat. One of the advantages of air conditioning, the extraction of indoor thermal loads is likely to loose its impact. The paper reviews a seminar organized by Ademe in July 1993 and presents the outlines of this development.
