Summary
Commercial refrigeration systems for supermarket applications reputedly produce relatively high refrigerant loss during their use phase. This article looks at selected European areas and investigates recent developments and success stories in the area of refrigerant containment. It highlights technological design aspects that contribute to improvements in containment while reflecting current and future legislative aspects. "Dos" and "Don'ts" are pointed out, along with field results.
