Summary
The study analyzes information on existing commercial buildings in the United States. It determined the existing wellness of buildings and made estimates of the economic benefits of productivity and health costs related to employees in the buildings. The annual benefit is USD 55 billion or approximately USD 12 per square meter per year. The initial cost to implement this program would be USD 88 billion, and it would cost USD 4.8 billion to sustain the productivity level each year or approximately USD 1 per square meter per year.
